Grand Entry Tryouts for the World’s Oldest Rodeo Now Open

It’s time! Grand Entry tryouts for the 137th Prescott Frontier Days – World’s Oldest Rodeo are officially open! The following dates for tryouts will be held at our Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo grounds:

  • Thursday, June 6th, 6:00 pm
  • Saturday, June 15th, 10:00 am
  • Thursday, June 20th, 6:00 pm

The rodeo office will have grand entry waiver and availability forms digital or hard copy. If you are chosen to participate in the Grand Entry, there will be a full run-through on Saturday, June 29th at 5:30 pm.

Participants must:

  • Be 16 years or older,
  • Bring your own horse, PFD does not provide one. You must bring the horse you plan on riding in Grand Entry at tryouts,
  • Bring your own flag boot,
  • Wear PRCA attire (required during the rodeo), and
  • Attend at least 1 tryout (but you may be called back to attend 2nd tryout if chairman requests it).

The PFD strives to keep everyone safe and our arena accident-free, so these precautions are mandatory. You are representing the World’s Oldest Rodeo and must do so with respect and professionalism.
